Jasper Lewitton
Founding Trustee
Jasper Lewitton is the head of Business Strategy & Development for UBS Wealth Management in the US, a company with in excess of $500B of assets under management. Jasper has also held the positions of Chief Operating Officer of Citigroup Property Investors and Head of Strategy of Citigroup Alternative Investments. Prior to this Jasper was at the Boston Consulting group where he focused on financial services working in Australia and London. Jasper is a qualified attorney holding a BCom LLB as well as a LLM from Cambridge University.
Nicholas A Raphaely
Founding Trustee
Nick Raphaely lives in Sydney, Australia and is a director and co-founder of Ashton Advisors, a boutique asset management business. Prior to this Nick worked for Merrill Lynch in investment banking in the UK and Australia. Nick holds a Business Science degree from Cape Town University and an MA from Cambridge University. Nick is married and has two children.
Anthony G Raphaely
Founding Trustee
Having spent many years as an executive director of companies active in international commodity trading, Tony Raphaely retired from active business in 1995 since which time he has devoted considerable energies to promoting educational endeavours in South Africa. Together with University of Johannesburg, he was instrumental in the establishment of a privately funded primary school for black pupils in Rustenburg and now administers the Link-SA Fund. Anthony Raphaely is married and has four children.
Kevin Wayne Pamensky
Kevin Pamensky is head of New Markets in Private Wealth Management in the Emerging Markets region at Goldman Sachs in London. Previously, he managed a Private Wealth Division for South African and UK business for eight years.
Kevin joined Goldman Sachs in 1996. He was named executive director in 2000 and managing director in 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Kevin worked in corporate finance for six years at the law firm S.J. Berwin & Co. Kevin earned a BA LLB (Law) at Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa. He graduated as a solicitor (lawyer) in 1989 in London.
Tyrone Joubert
Trustees
Tyrone Joubert graduated with a Bcomm in 2004 with majors in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at UCT. Immediately after graduating, he was employed by Investec in Cape Town. In 2005, he completed his Honours in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management. He is presently studying to become a chartered accountant while working full-time at Investec Bank. Since the beginning of 2010, Tyrone is a decision maker on the Risk Committee at Investec in the Cape Town division.
During his undergraduate years, Tyrone gave freely of his time to teach mathematics to school children in an impoverished area of Cape Town. He continues to assist with community projects in the education field. He obtained the following post grad qualification from UNISA: PDGA. Tyrone Joubert is married and has two children. He lives and works in Cape Town.
Sophia Kiok Langeraar
Sophia Langeraar is half Dutch with Indonesian and Chinese roots. After growing up in many parts of the world she successfully launched and operated her web and graphic design agency, Kiok Designs, starting in London and finally settling in the Netherlands.
She has over eight years’ experience on a variety of design projects with startups, organizations and businesses from an array of industries. Alongside her agency she has joined forces with her husband in developing a business in high-end and eco-friendly design solutions for interior and exterior spaces. She lives with her husband and daughter in Hilversum, the Netherlands.
Vulindlele Cuba
Vuli Cuba founded Next Generation Network Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd in 2001 and serves as its Executive Chairman and President. Other companies founded, co-founded and headed by Mr Cuba include Octagon, Safrika Holdings. He gained extensive strategy and ICT consulting experience gained while working for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Monitor Consulting. He is a board member of several companies which include Hertz Car Rental, Cape Town, The Foschini Group, and Next Generation Network Telecommunications.
Vuli Cuba was born on 20 March 1955 in Springs, Gauteng, South Africa. He is married, and has three children. He works and resides in Gauteng. Education: BSc - UNISA, BSc - University of Fort Hare. MBA - London Business School
